Travel day and getting to Branson

We left for the airport at 6am Saturday, Sep 6th.

Anyone else take a picture of where you park at the airport? Funny thing is later we found out our rental car was parked in the same section in Kansas, City. Weird.

The kids have flown before but it's crazy how they "forget" and its all new and exciting.

Yup, Caleb's head is strapped back because he fell asleep and my arm was tired of holding his head up. Later we figured out we could just lean his carseat back and it worked a lot better.

Our first flight was fairly short from SLC to Denver and it was fairly turbulent so we didn't get snacks on that flight.

Our next flight was also pretty short from Denver to Kansas, City but the kids were excited to get snacks this time. We also ended up with the same flight attendant crew.

Our bags made it!

This day we traveled but car, plane, train, and bus.

We found our rental car and our luggage and people fit.

We picked up some grocery items, ate some dinner, and got on the road to drive an hour or so to Clinton, MO. We stayed at a motel style place, we knew it wasn't going to be the nicest place but there were only so many options between Kansas city and Branson. It wasn't as bad as we thought and it met our need and worked. Glad we didn't have to stay multiple nights with 4 kids in one room.

We went to church in Clinton and had a picnic lunch on the grass. Then we drove the rest of the way to Branson.

We stopped in Springfield thinking there was a temple there but turns out it was just starting to be built. So it wasn't exactly what we thought but it was cool to see it and imagine it.

We made it to our place in Branson, got settled, and Steve's parents and Jake and Laini came and we ate dinner and explored to place.
