another week in August

Not too much to report this week. Hannah and Isaac had their last kids camp on Monday. They basically had a party. Water play, piñata, popsicles, playing at the park, I think they said they read books and played red rover.

Don't remember what this picture was about but its a glimpse into our car life.

Hannah made herself a crib out of these kitchen chairs.

On Friday the Ward Relief society had a committee retreat. One of the committee members has a cabin by bear lake so she invited us up. It was an overnight thing but I just went for Friday afternoon and went home in the evening. We did a craft, ate dinner, chatted, watched a storm roll in over the lake, and took a tour of the cabin.

When we pulled in there was this deer just sitting under the porch.

Saturday Steve worked on the backsplash in the kitchen, yes we are still working on that. Crazy how the weekends have been busy. I'll have to do a final picture one of these days.

Isaac also found Steve's mento rocket. So we ran to the store to get the supplies to shoot it off. The kids thought it was fun.

We had Stake conference this weekend so Bubba was kind enough to watch the kids while we went to the adult session on Saturday night. The kids did surprisingly well on Sunday with the 2 hour meeting and then they had this little meeting will all the bishops and their families afterward. I was a little nervous about it, we are one of like two bishops in the stake who have little kids, like under 6 years old. The other Bishop who has little kids walked in without their kids and I thought "was that an option?!" :) Turns out their kids were all sick. Anyways the kids did alright. I was slightly disappointed that they didn't have refreshments for us :) ha! Apparently I was hungry.
