This weekend, we went down to Utah. We got stuck behind an accident trying to get out of Rexburg, then we saw like 5 or 6 other throughout the rest of our travels this weekend. We went down to Bountiful and went to the temple. There was so much snow on the sidewalks and houses up there. We didn't realize how high up that temple was, but it was amazing as all temple trips are.
We checked in to a hotel near the airport and went to dinner at Costa Vida. We had some awesome nachos and a burrito. The manager was talking to Steve in Spanish and he couldn't believe how rusty he has gotten at it. He brought some different salsas for us to try, and the habeñero one was really good. We went back to the hotel to go swimming and sit in the hot tub. We were all by ourselves in there for a long time, then a person came in and we couldn't tell if it was a guy or a girl. Turnes out it was a guy and he was wearing a speedo and was really creepy, so we decided we had been in there long enough. We woke up on Sunday morning, got ready, checked out, and unburied our car from the 4 inches of snow we got the night before, and braved the storm to get to Temple Square. We went to Music and the Spoken Word in the Tabernacle there with Jileisa's family. It was so awesome! We were on the balcony almost directly over the orchestra.
Then, we drove slowly through the storm again towards Highland. It cleared up right about Draper, and we barely made it to Jake's (Converse) homecoming. He has changed a lot. We went to the little get together at their house for a while and got to chat with cousins. Then, we went to American Fork to Jileisa's Aunt and Uncle's farewell before they go serve in Russia. we got some food after that, and then had to drive home. It was a very long, yet quick day. We are just glad to be back in our own bed where it is nice and warm compared to the 8º it is outside right now. Bring on Year Three!!!
