The week of Thanksgiving was a short week as far as
school goes, so Steve worked more than usual. He got off work early on
Wednesday so he wandered around Idaho Falls looking for apartments. On
Thursday, Thanksgiving, we left at 7 a.m. and made it to Converse's in American Fork around 11.
We had some time before dinner, so Steve got the football out of the trunk and
played with Scott. They got Jo Helmer (Warner’s Exchange Student) involved and
learned that he had never played football before. They felt really bad because they
were teaching him to throw and catch, and it hit him right in the face. He is
tough though :) We had an amazing thanksgiving dinner! After that just socialized for a
while, played games and of course took a nap :) Then we had to leave to come back
to Rexburg. That wasn't as fun, but it is life. I had to work on Friday, so we
needed to get back.
It has been a crazy fast year and we can’t believe its already Thanksgiving again. Heavenly Father has sure blessed us this year and
we are most grateful for that. I wanted to express thanks to our wonderful
families. They support us 100% and are always ready to jump in and help. I’m
always grateful for this time of year to remember our blessings. I love that it
comes right before the Christmas season to help put into perspective why we
celebrate.
