Sleepy Kids!

Sister Kendra,

Ok, I really love the story about Brittany and the power outage. It's those little experiences of seeing God's hand in such little things and details that help keep us humble.  

We did corn/canning on Monday and Tuesday in Burley so it made for a short week in my mind.

We took this boy for his first swim. He thought it was fine. No crazy reaction.

We got home from Burley and started the catch up of laundry/life. This boy also had his first haircut this week. He was born with quite a bit of hair but in the weeks that followed a lot of the hair on top of his head fell out...except this one patch...it was so long. It looked like a comb over. Anyways it was driving me nuts so we cut it. I don't have an after pic but just know it is so much better.

umm...and can we just talk about how my little 3 month old can sit in this little chair. He thought it was great! I really love watching them grow up but they are never small long enough.

On Saturday we worked hard to get a bunch done. Cleaned the garage, washed cars, Steve build a laptop holder for his desk at work, fixed some book slings, canned chicken, made raspberry jam. We were so tired by the end but for me it is so rejuvenating to get stuff done. I get a lot of things worked on/started but rarely done these days so it was great to get stuff DONE. I guess i'm just learning to be patient. 

Today in church I had Isaac and he fell asleep on me during RS and Steve ended up with Hannah in priesthood asleep on him. Its really hard to have 11:30 church and our normal nap time/quiet time is like 12-2. It makes for some sleepy kids.

Also in Sunday school they had us do a pretty cool exercise. They handed out pieces of paper and had everyone write a trial they are going through/have gone through. We didn't put names on them. Then they gathered them up and read them out loud. It was pretty powerful/humbling to hear those trials...health problems, family problems, wayward children, can't have children...etc. Everyone has trials. It was a reminder to me to always be kind and loving to others because you don't know what they are going through.
