Our 4th

Our 4th was pretty low key but such a fun day! We slept in and then worked on our headboard pretty much the rest of the day till we headed to the Melaleuca fireworks.

We got so involved with the headboard that we ran out of time to make dinner. So we stopped at Wendy's and grabbed some food to take with us. It turned out to be really fun! Maybe a new tradition? :)

You can't really see it but the people sitting next to us had a little grill and were grilling away :)

So many people!!!

You know, I can take pictures of other people but when Steve and I try to take pictures together they always end up funny!

 

The fireworks were delayed an hour because a man tried to swim to an island in the river and they had rescue teams out searching for him. The next day we found out he had drowned and they finally found him about 1 o'clock in the morning :( kind of a sad way to end our 4th but it reminded us how precious life is and how grateful we are for our freedoms to live those lives as we choose!
