We had a fun and relaxing Memorial Day weekend. For most of it it rained and rained.

On Saturday we decided to stay inside and make homemade maple bars. I found a recipe
HERE for baked maples bars instead of fried. It must have been a great day for making dough because they turned out so good...yummmm! Later that night we went to the Temple with some friends and had them over to eat donuts.
On Monday it finally stopped raining so we decided to go to the zoo in Idaho Falls. So happy we decided to go! It was kinda crazy we got there and were waiting in line for tickets, when this sweet lady came up to us and gave us two free tickets into the zoo. I guess the zoo had been giving them out earlier that day and the lady had a season pass so she didn't need them. It was a BEAUTIFUL day! Here is a run down of what we saw:

How awesome that you got in for free. We visited that zoo when we came up to Idaho last year and we loved it. We even thought it was better than the bigger zoo we have here in UT.
