Chill week and Bishop Stoker

We had a pretty chill week.

Getting warm by the vent after baths.

The kiddos will ask me to take a picture of them often and this was a gem.

We are all cooped up. So I loaded up the bikes/scooters and we played at the church for quite a while. By the end Isaac was just sitting there saying he was tired. Need to do this more often. A very good energy burn.

Another random picture request.

I don't have very many pictures but the kids and I ventured to Burley this past weekend to support my Dad in getting put in as the Bishop of his ward. It was fun to be there for him and to play with cousins. Might be our last trip there before baby comes. We'll see. So glad the weather was good and the trip was pretty uneventful.

Something that touched me this weekend was something one of my Dad's counselors talked about. He talked about planting seeds and how he wished he had been around and able to meet Deloss Stoker (my dad's dad).

A little info. My Uncle LaVel is the Stake President of the Oakley Stake and now my Dad is the Bishop of View 1st ward.

He said he wished he could have met Deloss because he had been planting seeds. Not saying your children need to grow up and be a Stake President or Bishop to have "planted good seeds" but it just made me appreciate the people I come from.

Raising good human beings is hard work. Work you only appreciate and understand once you are trying to do it. I appreciate the people who have come before and planted good seeds and took the harder road. It can be a lot easier to just get by and hope your kids turn out ok, not have much intentionality to it.

It has motivated me to keep going and keep trying to plant good seeds.
