Defying Gravity!

This trip has been anticipated for awhile!

We drove to Denver, Colorado for a get away.

We left Thursday morning and drove and drove. It took about 10 hrs. We listened to 2 books and ate way too much candy...but thats what road trips are for right!

We stopped at a rest stop and this is what I found in the women's bathroom! No way was I going to let another lady in there with me...haha!

My mom suggested we go to a restaurant called "Casa Bonita".

This place had cliff divers, live musicians, magic shows, waterfalls, haunted house, arcade, and the food was good!

It was a fun way to start our trip!

We then made our way to our hotel...I forgot to mention that on this trip we decided to only use maps...like no directions from siri! So i'm happy to say the only time we got lost a little bit was finding the hotel...but we found it :)

The next morning we ate breakfast and went swimming. We got showered and ready for the day. We decided to be adventurous and figure out the light train system. We only got on the wrong train once :)

I don't think the lady in the next picture on the bottom left appreciate me taking a picture!

Mile high stadium

We went to the downtown aquarium which was so cool and so up Steve's alley..I thought it was cool too.

We decided to eat in the aquarium underwater restaurant.

This was our view during lunch.

We headed back to the train to ride to downtown. Denver has been getting a lot of rain and so the river was high and it flooded this walking path.

Once we made it to downtown we explored 16th street mall...1.25 miles long. Then visited the Federal Reserve Bank museum.

Money through the years

This is what $30,000,000 looks like.

They had a little computer where you could design your own money.

We then jumped back on the train and walked back to our hotel to get ready for WICKED! We didn't have much time so we stopped at wendy's on the way. It was a crazy looking wendy's.

Then it was time for WICKED!!!

Wicked was SO amazing!!! and now we understand the story :)

In the morning we went and did a session in the Denver Temple. It was real small but its always fun to go to new temples.

Then it was off to home. We stopped at a rest stop and there was a cool statue of Lincoln so we took a picture.

It was a great great great trip! Well worth the drive. On the way home about 3 hours from home we hit a porcupine. We were so blessed not to have gotten a flat tire and to not hit anymore animals. We saw lots of deer on the side of the road in the dark.

Yup this is Wyoming! Beautiful but oh so endless and boring.
